Izzy and Grace being creative!!!

I hate hearing that 5 letter word ... Bored!

With summer comes the challenge of keeping the kids entertained!

We go to the pool, to the library, out to eat, we watch movies, have picnics, play with cousins, play soccer, sleep in

and still I hear "I am bored"

So this week I bought the girls a little art project. Best idea I have had all summer! They worked so hard on their projects, concentrating on every detail. For a few hours they were best friends !! No fighting, no screaming just peace and quiet ... every mom's dream!!

Today I was driving in the car and Gracie says to me "Mom why isn't your name Hoskins anymore?" me "Because I got married and now my name is Chavez" Gracie "oh so when I get married my name will be Wilcox!" me "Wilcox???" "Why would your name be Wilcox?" Gracie "because that is Kyson's name ... silly mom!" I started laughing so hard. I had no idea her little crush from preschool was truly the one!!

This ride is so scary!! It takes you high up (not sure how high) Then it stops and you wait and wait (I think that is the worst part ... Waiting) and then it drops you!! This was Izzy's first time to Lagoon and her first ride ... She loved it!!

We finally talked Mom and Dad into going on "The Rocket." Here they are in line. I am sure thinking "What have I gotten myself into?!?!?!?!"

What an awesome day ... and I only threw up once !!!

Mini Vacation

On Sunday we ended up making an unplanned trip to the cabin. I am not going to lie Matt and I got into a huge fight I was screaming...he was screaming. We needed a break from each other. So I packed up the kids and off we went ... To the cabin to "Hide". Matt would never look for me here because it is so out of character for me to drive, let alone up a canyon! But I did it we made it safe and sound. I love the cabin because it is so peaceful! Only problem ...
This is the only Bathroom!!! I hate this thing it stinks and I still have a fear of falling in!
It's really not that bad ... until 3am and you need to go!

The kids and I played games,watched movies we were lazy!! It was so fun!!

But we started to miss our Dad! At 7:00 Matt finally called and I told him where we were and that he needed to come be with the family!! We needed him ... Literally needed him. I was so mad when I decided to leave I didn't take food and the basic things we needed so we needed him to save us!!



While we waited for Dad to bring dinner we played games and took pictures. Mason was busy playing "pokemon" on his old game boy!

Gracie thinks it is so funny to do bunny ears in every picture!

Gracie thinks this can is the funniest thing invented. She made a plan that as soon as Dad came in she was going to offer him a piece of candy (he he)!

The cabin is the funnest place on earth for the kids!

My kids are getting to big and are not scared of it anymore but they still love to tease each other!

This swing is at the cabin next door! I remember loving it as a kid. This swing can get you so high and out and over the trees you feel like you are flying!
You can't go to the cabin without a trip to the Swing!

We had a blast ... It wasn't planned but we enjoyed every minute of it! One last shot as we are leaving! I never knew a fight would allow us an awesome mini Vacation!!

4Th of July

Every 4th of July we

Have fun traditions we do to celebrate. I usually dress my girls in Matching Red, White and Blue outfits before leaving to the Sandy City carnival and then off to the Cabin. This Year I let the girls choose their Shoes. Each Pair of shoes totally reflect each girl's personality.

I love these Girls. I am so glad I have one of each!! One girly Girl and one Tom boy! Together they keep life very exciting!!

We always start the day with the Sandy City kids Fair. They have a small carnival and crafts for the kids to do. This is a picture of my cute kiddos waiting to get a balloon! Funny thing they thought they were in line for face painting ... Dad got in the wrong line and the lines are 45 minutes long ... so balloons for everyone!

Gracie totally knows how to accessorize! She requested a hat in red, white and blue to match her cute outfit!

Next our favorite activity for the day!! Off to the Cabin for the big BBQ With Grandma and Grandpa Hoskins. We enjoy awesome food and fun!! The kids favorite part ... BINGO! They love to win prizes!!

I wanted one last picture before we left the canyon. It was so sunny out, the kids could barely open their eyes!! We counted to 3 and the kids opened their eyes for a split second for me to take the Picture!!

We had an awesome day!
