Happy Birthday to Isabelle!!!

All my life growing up I dreamed about having a little girl. Someone to dress up, to do her hair and share the most important things in life with! And on September 19, 2001 I was blessed with that most BEAUTIFUL little girl! Isabelle Ashlee Chavez! She came into the world so small just weighing over 5lbs yet came with the biggest spirit you could ever imagine!!!
She is alot like her mom. Strong willed!!! She knows what she wants and nothing is going to get in her way of getting it. She NOT a girly girl yet she still lets me dress her up and do her hair!!!
I am so grateful she is my daughter! Izzy I hope you have a wonderful 9th B-day!! You are such a Beautiful Girl and We LOVE you so much!!!

How did this happen??? ... 15 years over night!!!

How did he go from this ... To this??? ... Over night!!!
I can't even believe it! 15 Years ... impossible! I was always told "Hold your baby as long as you can because before you know it he will be grown!" How true that is. I just blinked and 15 years have passed. I am so grateful for Mason. He has been such a blessing in our lives!!! I am grateful that I have been able to be a Mom. To be able to watch Mason grow to have been able to be to every (well almost every) soccer game, school program, to be there the good days and the bad. He is such a great kid ! Hope you have a great year this year. Don't try to get older faster there is always time for that! Enjoy every moment of being a teenager! Stay out of trouble and enjoy life!!!

Feliz Cumpleanos!

Mason and Izzy's Birthday's are exactly 1 week apart. The 12Th and the 19Th, so every year we do 1 big family party. This year we thought it would be so fun to do a FIESTA!!! It was sooo much fun. I Did the planning and the decorating and Matt did the cooking!!! He did such an awesome job the food was so yummy!!! This is the Happy Birthday sign I made in Spanish "Feliz Cumpleanos!" I think it turned out pretty cute!!

I wanted to have a cute center piece for the table, but was having a hard time deciding what to do. This was the final decision. A tall vase with m&m's for the color. I made a smaller tissue ball to top it off!

These were part of the party decor. Colorful tissue balls I guess you would call them??
Danielle taught me how to make these. They turned out pretty cute and added color to the room.

We decided that we would dress up for our Fiesta. I bought a few sombreros, fake mustaches and flowers for the Girls.
Gracie and Izzy, Looking good!!!

"The cook!!! "

"The Birthday boy!"

"Father and Son"
I never realized how much Mason and Matt do look alike!

I can't believe this is my little boy!!

The kids insisted he get a picture with the mustache!

It wouldn't be a Fiesta without a pinata!!

I have always wanted one of these cupcake stands!!! Matt finally let me get one for the party. This was my first attempt at homemade icing!! They looked OK but tasted Awesome!!

Here is a picture of all the great food!!

And another ... YUMMY!!!
Grandma Victoria and Michael

Grandma Victoria made the enchiladas! They were sooo good!!!
Thanks again Grandma!!

When I asked Mason what kind of cake he wanted he said "Tres Leche" from Cafe Rio!
Not something I know how to make. So we called Grandma and sent her to buy one the night before to surprise him!!!

Presents!!! The kids favorite part. Thanks to everyone for the gifts!!!

We did the pinata! None of the picture of the kids hitting it turned out so this is the best I could do! The kids swarming the candy after it broke!!

The kids thought it was funny to cut the head off the pinata and try it on. Here are a few funny pictures of the kids.

Izzy

Grace!
It was a great night. We had a blast. I love that I have such a Great Family to share these moments with!!
Feliz Cumpleanos Mason and Izzy!!!

Grateful for blogs!

Today is a day I am so GRATEFUL I have a blog! I don't know about you??? But I hate papers!!!! Between bills, junk mail, school work and the beautiful art work my kids do there is SOOO much paper around the house. I hate it!! I usually open mail immediately and shred what is not needed so everything is organized. However, when it comes to the kids art work and everyday school papers it is harder to shred those things ... but you can't keep everything!!! So this is why I am grateful for this blog. This is a picture Gracie drew at school today. The picture represents the letter "T" . This is so dang cute, I can hardly stand it!!! The imagination of a 5 year old is awesome!!! It was on a school paper that I normally would not keep. But today because of the blog, I took a picture instead making both me and Gracie happy!!! In the past to help with the papers, I have a box for each child were I save the most important things IE... report cards, best art work whatever is most important to them. This blog is great for everything else. It allows me to keep the memories without all the papers!!! And for that I am Grateful!!! Gracie Kindergarten art work September 7, 2010

The cast is on!

Today Izzy got her cast on. It was so funny when we got the the Doctor's office he asked Izzy what color of cast she wanted??? He opened this cupboard with every color imaginable!!! So what color did Izzy ask for ... Highlighter Orange. The only color they didn't have!!! She settled for her next pick Highlighter Pink!!! She is pretty excited to have it on. As tragic as this was, She has loved every second of attention she is getting!!!

"Mom, I fell at school and my arm really hurts!!"

Let me just start by saying I really am a good mom! Yesterday was just an all around horrible day so when Izzy said the first time her arm hurt ... I didn't really listen. Well it's not that I didn't listen I was distracted by the bitter old women who really was annoyed that I pulled in the parking lot at the school, rather then waiting in line behind her. So she felt the need to get out of her car and come tell me "There is a yellow line in the road for a reason!" "seriously, that's not nice!" is what I said and then I just lost it! I started screaming that "I have personally see you pull in the parking lot too!!" And I left. But I do believe there was steam coming from my ears. We needed to go to grandma's so I headed over there and Izzy again said "my arm really hurts mom!" I took a quick look, it didn't look swollen she had a few scraps from the fall so I told her "you'll be OK!" After Grandma's She had soccer so I told her to get ready and we dropped her off. She is on a competition soccer team so this is serious business and she has to do push ups etc. she lost it! She was crying to the coach her arm hurt!! He told her she didn't have to do the stuff with her arm. When we picked her up she was a little white and looked to be in pain. So I decided to call kids care. I waited and waited the recording said "They were experiencing a high volume of calls so please continue to hold." I held on so I wouldn't lose my place in line for 40Min's!!! I know ... why did I do that??? Finally I hung up and just took her to Insta care after 8PM. So long story short, She broke it!!! I should have listened the first time! Sorry Izzy!!
