1st Day of Kindergarten!

Gracie was so excited for today, her 1st day of kindergarten! She was up late last night, worried about the hand sanitizer I had not yet purchased for her class. She then got up early today asking about every 10 minutes when school was going to start, starting at 7:30AM. School doesn't start until 12:15PM! She picked out the cutest outfit. We did fancy hair with a McQueen bow to top it off! (love it). She then told me that she needed a good lunch. PB&J with chips??? "No peaches are better mom!" We then did the picture ... the one in the yard I take every year.
We got to the school a little early to take a few pictures!
Here she is so excited she can hardly stand still!
She was first in line! She was not shy to remind everyone that the line started behind her!!!

Here she is the "famous" Mrs Blanchat!

She wasn't nervous, she didn't look back, she was ready ... and so was I!

Good Luck Gracie, Your going to LOVE kindergarten!!!

Call me a Domestic Diva

Matt insisted that I post a better picture of his pie! Like it even matters clearly mine is the BEST PEACH PIE EVER!!!
I know it is impressive and yes I did this all by myself!!! (well I did have a little help, Thanks Mom and Matt!) I Canned 21 jars of peaches, froze 5 containers made 2 Delicious peach Pies and ate and ate peaches in milk with sugar to the point that I may need to puke! And still I am in awe at what I have done ... isn't your mouth watering just at the sight of these beauties! Matt and I had a friendly competition at who could create the best pie. I will let you judge for yourself, but if I had to pick mine would be the winner!!!

Pie #1 Matt's

Pie #2 Wendy's

Let be honest the intricate detail in the crust just makes it an all around better pie!!!

Sorry Matt, you just lost to the Domestic Diva!!

Back to school again

School Year 2009-2010

This Year 2010-2011

I can't believe how fast this summer has gone. I guess we were busy having too much fun to notice the time passing! However, I knew it was time for school to begin by the way the kids were fighting and how grumpy I was getting. School started August 23rd, the kids were so excited. Mason is starting 9Th grade, Izzy 3rd and Gracie kindergarten. Every year I make the kids cinnamon rolls for breakfast the morning of the first day. They pick the perfect outfit, pack their new backpack full of supplies and then we take the picture! The one I take every year in the front yard. This year I could hardly believe my eyes! Mason is a giant! I can't believe how much he has grown this past year. They are so cute!! I Love being a Mom, best thing I have done in my life by far. Good Luck Kids! I know you will do great!

Growing up is hard to do!!!

Before she lost her tooth!

Gracie FREAKING out before anything happened!

Still FREAKING out!!

Finally she let Matt pull !!!

And it's out !!!

All grown up !!!

Gracie learned the hard way that growing up is hard to do. At our last dentist visit they told me that she would soon be losing her bottom two teeth. She just giggled and was so excited that she would finally be losing a tooth, just like her big sister. Little did she know that day would come sooner than later!! She wiggled and Wiggled that tooth until it got to the point that it needed some help coming out. Matt is so good at this. I think he enjoys it a little too much. He told Gracie "OK it's time, We need to pull it out!" Gracie was so excited. I got the camera, after all she is my baby and she was about to lose her very first tooth. And so the process began!! Matt started to pull a little on the tooth and Gracie FREAKED!!! She started crying "I don't want to do it!" " No Daddy it will hurt." Matt tried to calm her telling her it would be over quick and to hold still!! She cried even harder! Eventually she allowed him to pull and within a few seconds ... she had grown up!!
